What you can actually do
Not a timeline bolted onto a donation platform. The ecosystem you already use, with the connective tissue it was missing.
Post as yourself or as your organisation
Hold a seat in an NGO, a company or a claimed listing and you can speak as it, with the same switcher you already use for the dashboard. No second account, no shared password.
Follow, connect, and gather in groups
Follow anyone to hear from them. Connect with people you actually know, which is what gates direct messages. Communities can be public, private, or invisible to non-members.
Your work announces itself
Publish a campaign, an event or a job and it appears in your followers’ feeds as a rich card, linked to the real thing. You choose which of your activity broadcasts.
Every discussion in one place
A reply on a campaign page and a reply to that campaign in the feed are the same conversation, not two that never meet. The same holds for events and job postings.
A feed you can explain
Recent is strictly chronological and can never be taken away. For you is ranked, and every item tells you why it reached you.
Reporting that goes somewhere
Report a post, a message or a profile and it enters a real moderation queue with a written decision, an appeal to a different reviewer, and a public transparency report.

Your social graph is not a product.
A social layer on a platform that handles money and advocacy has to be careful in ways an ordinary network does not. These are the lines we hold.
Ardent Social introduces no new money path. There are no tips, no creator fund, and no payments between people.
Who follows whom is never published. Our own public API has no endpoint for follows, connections or group members, by design.
A post restricted to followers or connections stays restricted everywhere: it is absent from the API, from search engines, and from every embed.
Turning off discoverability removes you from the sitemap, from embeds, and from the public API at once, not just from search on Ardent.
Direct messages from people you are not connected to land in a Requests folder. They do not notify you, and the sender cannot tell.
Chronological order is permanent. A ranked feed is offered, never imposed, and it always says why you are seeing something.
Questions, answered
No. Everything you already do on Ardent works exactly as before. If you never post, your account simply behaves the way it always has.
Yes. Anyone holding a seat in your organisation can post as it from their own account, using the same permissions that already govern your dashboard. Shared logins are exactly what this removes.
You choose per post: everyone, your followers, your connections, or a single group. The choice is shown on the post itself, and anything other than public is invisible to search engines, to our public API and to embeds.
Only public posts, and only while platform-wide indexing is switched on. A restricted post is never indexable, and if you turn off discoverability your profile leaves the sitemap entirely.
Block them and you become mutually invisible, including through mentions. Report them and a moderator reviews it against written rules, records the decision, and you can appeal to a different reviewer. Repeat behaviour accumulates strikes that decay if nothing further happens.
Yes. Public posts, profiles and communities are on the read-only public API, with oEmbed cards, webhooks and both SDKs. Nothing about the social graph is included, and follower and mention webhooks are delivered only to the account they belong to.
